That's funny... There is "borrowing" and"stealing". Love Nirvana and "Come As You Are" but in several interviews even Kurt himself admitted to lifting the riff.

Kurt Cobain never admitted to taking the guitar riff from this song, and he's credited as writing the music on the album because he claimed it was his. Period, the end, no point in arguing something that you're wrong about, though you probably will.

Actually if you look up the Guitar World interview he did for "Nevermind" in 1992 he says that "Come As You Are", and I quote, "Is basically the riff for the Killing Joke song "Eighties". Feel free to look it up.

Yeah he asked Cobain on the set of SNL if he could do Smells Like Teen Spirit. Kurt asked him if he was going to do a song about food (that was kinda Weird Al's thing back then) but Al told him he was going to do it about how nobody understood what he said in his songs.
