hey i read somewhere that the woman who wrote this movie intended it to be a comedic parody of all the 80s slasher movies, but it was wrote off as a slasher itself, and thats why it was so funny

How can t his movie be out of print? Seriously!? I got lucky enough to find a brand new copy, about a year back, but I can't believe some DVD studio like Anchor Bay or Blue Underground hasn't picked this baby up!

Indeed, noted feminist and lesbian author Rita Mae Brown wrote the script as a spoof of slasher movies, but they butchered her script and tried to turn it into a straight horror film. Still, I think there's enough silliness left over to prove it was intended to be a comedy. My favorite scene is when the killer crawls through the girl's bedroom window while they sit in front of it, and yet they don't see him until he's right up on them. Also amusing is the fact that the killer is like 4' 9".
