Well, some people find these ideas interesting, and it can be cool when a movie is made about lots of the things going on in your mind instead of about some shitty asshole movie star being a hero with a bunch of special effects and fire in the same formulaic cow shit that we pay to see over and over and over again.
And some people probably are just artsy fags who like this movie because it is rotoscoped.

No, I hate labeling people as unintelligent. I didn't understand this movie the first few times I watched it anyway. It is both judgmental and condescending to speak of your own intelligence. There could be hundreds of valid reasons why someone can't appreciate it. Maybe just closed-mindedness, or youth, or apathy. This movie doesn't even really have a definite point. It is just a compilation of ideas, questions, and concepts anyway, like a fake documentary, which is why Linklater is so good.
