Reba's character is telling Kelly's character that she won't make the same mistakes that Kelly has. Kelly is in an abusive relationship with a two-timing, manipulative man. Reba watches, and basically says, "I'm protecting myself from those same mistakes." Kelly's character feels stuck.

Does anyone think the new Barry Manilow, Reba duet will do well? I heard it, it's called "Islands in the Stream", that old '80s song. It's actually quite good, and, of course, Reba sounds amazing. I hope it's a big hit for them both.

Thank God you don't understand abuse and have compassion for the oppressed. Every 15 minutes in this country someone is being beat by there significant other to the point of needing medical care. That is only a stat for reported abuse. There is no one to call when someone emotionally abuses you. This is a real fact of our society, we have no respect for each other. We are bullies. Just read the comment if you do not believe it.

i agree with suthurngal - the physical pain goes away fairly quickly....emotional on the other hand... depends on how much he broke you down and how strong you are... if you are told every day all day that you are worthless and no one else will have you... eventually you start to believe it.
