no bite no edge no jerk no roll with his obvious physical acumen and uncanny fingering ability he just needs more imagination (parts can be mistaken for simple tuning). the tone it too neat (synth cleaned)

wow, it takes a lot of nerve to say that. I don't think I've seen more imagination rolled into one clip. maybe you had the sound turned off and only watched his fingers move. sounds to me like this is a gearhead commenting on a truly musical situation.

I guess you read that this is a improvisation, just played out of thin air. And you have the guts the say that he needs more imagination? That the hell does "parts can be mistaken for simple tuning" mean? Give me an example of a music piece, improvised like this that you think is better (Im not saying that you should play of course), but that shows someone else. Id love to see that (or not?) I have the exact opposite impression of Kurt's playing in general, and in this clip. If anything it strikes me as purely emotional (with technique a very secondary consideration). I see no flashiness or sensationalism and only a kind of deeply felt poetry. It happens his playing is often quite technically accurate and advanced but I don't see this as appealing to the technique lovers and shredders.
