Thrust SSC - View from the air 2

Video Description:
On the 15th October 1997 Thrust SSC became the first car to ever break the sound barrier. Piloted by Wing Commander Andy Green of the RAF, a top speed of 763.035mph over the flying mile was achieved.

1120 feet per second. One mile in less than 5 seconds. It covers 5 miles in the shot.

Look at time 0:13 to 0:19. That is six seconds. The video clearly shows a shockwave on the ground on both sides of the vehicle. That shockwave could only be caused by Mach speeds.

My god, you are a moron. Speed is not measured only over a time of an hour. Go back and re-read your maths books. The record had to be measured over one mile, two runs, opposite directions, which SSC did.

i know that idiot...! speed (or velocity) is distance divided by time.. which means time multiplied by velocity gives you distance and distance multiplied by velocity gives you time... soo.yeaa.. i take physics... i know this stuff man..
