Exactly. Anyone who does the Zigeunerweisen well deserves an applause by everyone. It just matters on how well you perform it, style, flair, intonation, and technique. It's a hard piece.

Caeli Smith is playing "live" - not a doctored up video. Someone had to take the time to post. This is a difficult piece for the pianist, because its first sections have a flexible rhythm - so it is too dim, generally. I've performed this piece, and Caeli (Alicelizard) does a very good job - and has a real knack for sensitive interpretation. I like it. No, the last part does not have to go faster - I mean,.... my computer can play faster even, so what's the point? Faster is no longer "better"...

It is the heart, the passion the feeling that goes in, that is most important. Musicians may tend to get too fixated on outer technical stuff. Also, even if people can play better, if their heart was better they would not harshly criticize, but be grateful for every soul that strives to bring beauty to the world.

I don't know much about music, but I've always loved this song, it's sound is so beautiful, armonic, marvelous. And it doesn't seems to be an easy piece to play, so I think she did really great, really sensitive..

It's because they're a bunch of loosers who barely know the tunning of te violin strings. They just think themselves "superior" because they have watched thousands of violin interpretation DVD's because their mental capacity does not allow them to understand the feeling and sence this girl and many other artist gave to this interpretation which I may say it's amazing.

Actually, this recording was made for an application to a summer program. It wasn't an official concert. But while I was recording, some people wandered in (and I perform better with an audience anyway). So that's why there are only about three people clapping. :)

very well done, I am playing piano for a friend of mine on this piece, and I'm excited to do it, it's very passionate. until the vivace, then it's just fun... Very well done. Maybe I'll require your assistance on the rach 3 some day, when I get around to it.
