Ok, the bit about 4 wheelers...that doesn't make any sense. What are you trying to say? The second part, that shows you didn't read everything I said. Which was that it's not about the ownership of guns it's about how American gun owners use them and their attitude to guns. I mentioned other countries that also have a high gun ownership but nowhere near the gun murders of the US. BTW apparently Britain now has a high gun crime rate despite having a total ban on most weapons.

Your arguement rocks! You feel fine and free in a place where gun laws are strict. But don't say "giving a poison sweet to each class kid". Its more like giving one to each kid that asks, if they never got in trouble. And don't say "poison sweet" cuz it implies 'nothing but bad'(i think).. If i couldn't own a gun, it just makes me that much less free. I guess 'most' laws are made because of stupid people. I think it's funny that people automatically assume Americans to be gun-toting Texans, when in reality guns used by these "cowboys" you seem so indignant towards are only used for hunting. The guns that kill people, for the most part, are pistols. The two examples you provide probably account for less than 3 percent of the actual murders. Most gun murders are due to gang wars and occur within high urban areas. I am pretty sure banning guns would only drive up the mechete death rate.

Right now we may all be making the same mistakes again. Look at the history of Iraq in particular: the first gulf war, the US promised to help the Iraqis overthrow Saddam. They eventually did . . . 17 years later. In that time, Saddam continued to "cleanse" his country of those who didnt support him. What if your not fighting terrorists there? What if your fighting people who feel really pissed off about the broken US promises? Consider all explanations before writing a conclusion
