I agree with you in one respect: global warming will not destroy this planet. The planet will be fine. Substitute: global warming will drasticaly effect our current human-friendly climate and be catostrophic for humans and many/most other species.
I don't see how you could reasonably debate that.

I will actually. Explain to me why I should think the raise in temperature is man made? If you look at the last couple hundred thousand years the temperature goes up and down. Now it is going up typically. In fact according to the Vostock Ice core samples it looks like we are due for a down soon. So thsi is my rational question. I don't care if every time the temperature goes up the CO2 follows. I don't care about any record high temperature recently. I want the science.

I'm afraid I don't know you well enough to care about convincing you too much.
If you do actually care about the science I will say the evidence is clear and abundant that global warming, as we see it today, is man mad and there is very little controversy among RELEVANT scientists that this is so.
Instead of ponderously recopying data for you, I would suggest you look into it yourself online. Check multiple sources and make sure the research you are looking at comes from relevant experts.

I have checked multiple sources and I do not believe there is such a one sided concensous. Just a lot of political fueled hype that there is. I see credible data showing we have been in a cooling period. I think people need to consider who exactly these so called relevant scientist are. I don't blame you for not wanting to post data on this, the subject would require us to write essay responses to each other to accurately debate the topic. All I'm saying is there is reasonable doubt.

there is not TRUE answer as to whom is causing global warming but i think there need to be TRUE measures taken to stop it. Consumeurism might not be available to us for long and maybe we should spend those last golden years to get ready for darker times instead of fighting over whether or not those dark times are arriving.
