The band's name comes from the B-29 Bomber which dropped the second wartime atomic bomb on Nagasaki, Japan. The plane's name was "Bockscar". Tom has said in an interview that he had seen the name misspelled as "Boxcar", and thusly, dubbed the band under that name for their music and lyrics pertain

wtf r u talking about, blink was great, mainly because of tom's lyrics, hes writes amazing songs, thats why, mark wrote alot of blinks less good songs, tom wrote this, i miss you(blink) and like every angels and airwaves songs
thats why they rock, tom's lyrics arent just songs, they're adventures through emotion and thaught, thats why i love all the songs he writes, he doesnt just write songs, he comunicates through poem to his fans
