´s important? this is a great version of an incredible concerto play it for a magnifical violinist as shaham (the version with boulez is magnifical too). Please! don´t forget the Music!!!

you are completely right! everyone has one or more favourite violin players, but of course no player in the world is able to play every piece as one likes, and this is the nice thing: all these artists offer us a complete view on the music panorama. One is not able.

Oh yes! The harp's got an important part of the 1st theme at this part of the concerto. In fact, the harp's got a pretty damn important part during the entirety of the piece, which is unusual, but Bartok liked colorful orchestrations...

Thank you for this posting. A magnificent violinist, reminiscent of Michael Rabin. And a glorious concerto written by the unforgetablle Bartok. Bartok lives!
