Not to mention, my example of the Porsche 917 still stands as a car that can launch exceptionally well even with RWD, 620 at the crank, and 1970's rubber. It's all about setting it up properly. You're free to keep thinking that awd is oh so superior, but fact remains that the only races they win tend to be rally. RWD dominates the tarmac. F1 proves it. FiA GT proves it. Japanese Super GT proves it. AWD will get you a nice launch, but not the checkered flag, unless it's a dirt road.

4 the 1 how is an evo 9 and 200sx not comparable maybe not 4 the sake of hp but both have excellent gripping capabilities which is what we have been arguing about but if u whant we could even say the 200 was at 2 bars the gripping power of awd is hightened considerably during high speed attacks but during lower speed the weight becomes an issue which is why the awd set up isnt used as much as rwd thats y in most time attacks ff"s and fr's seem to get better lap times awd makes more g's

Actually I would factor in that another major reason why the evo 9 has better high-speed cornering capabilities would have to do with the fact that it produces more aerodynamic downforce than the 200sx. I mean, really, did you not see the large wing on the back of it? Rally cars are designed to produce as much downforce as possible at the slowest speed possible to improve grip on loose surfaces. If you removed the aero-aids from an evo 9, you would see a dramatic drop in high speed handling.

Did I ever say it didn't? hint: no. I mean, I would really hope that with the most advanced awd system on any vehicle that it would have good handling. That and the extensive aero-research that was put into designing the car.
