Total bullshit. I'm a EE masters student and we study quantum physics. We many years off from having a commercial quantum computer. If you think that this company has technology decades ahead of what the most famous quantum researchers have from universities and labs all over the world, then you are extremely gullible. It's a regular transistor based computer that he has duped many people into thinking it's not. There's so many other reasons why this is fake but I'm not going to go into it.

You're correct that the free market drives new technology, but you have to understand that what they 'claim' to have is leagues more advanced then what the major chip manufacturers (Intel, AMD, TI) have. Big claims require big evidence and there's a very simple reason why this companies 'quantum computer' isn't exploded all over science website and conversations around the world...it simply doesn't exist. This is the new perpetual motion machine.

I read that article and when I did a search on Google; I found nothing corroborating the story. Just the same reprinted article. I also went to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory's website and found nothing on the matter of D Wave or any remotely resembling what they have accomplished. JPL is the devision of NASA that develops quantum computer so if there was news about it. It should have been on their site. This smells so bad of a scam it's ridiculous.

A group of scientist have taken a look at the device because of that. They concluded that the computer had quatium qualities, but was not what it claimed to be. So sofar the biggest quatium computer is still 6 qbits...I think.
