Unbelievably terrible things happen everyday that just show up buried in the middle of the newspaper. This video cemented 'Soul Asylum' FOREVER as a band with a conscience!!! I never knew 'Soul Asylum' before this song, but they took the time to work with SO many families in PANIC....I cannot praise them enough! This matters a LOT more than the other one {VAN HALEN - RIGHT NOW} |

| I cannot believe some of the posts listed before mine. I guess it just might need an explanation. This song: Runaway Train - is about women/men who decide to be "runaways". They are mostly young and rebellious about home for a lot of reasons. They just 'hit the highway' and hitchhike for a better life. |

| Well said! There so many runaway kids - for years the public did took no notice and didn't wanted to deal with the issue. I'm a former runaway kid - violence in households is a huge issue not only in america. world wide. Rio/Brazil has over 4 million children living on the street...kids runaway because the world doesn't listen. I remember being told, but your mom is your mom...after I told people about being beaten at home. This song gave those kids a voice...! |

| MTV played the hell out of this song, and I loved it. I wish there was still good music like this out there. The White Stripes and a hand full of other bands are OK, but overall rock music has gone down hill. I guess everything changes over time. We'll always have the early 90's. |
