This is an from a presentation by Neil deGrasse Tyson at the 2006 Beyond Belief conference. Neil is the director of the Hayden Planetarium in the Rose Center For Earth and Space at the American Museum of Natural History. In this Powerpoint entitled "Stupid Design" Tyson points out some of the glaring evidence for a universe without a designer.

well, the reason that all gods hide from people is rather obvious; because there's only 1 God that chooses not to appear to people (for the most part) there are those rare exceptions, like joseph (nt not ot) and moses, but almost always he chooses angels to appear to people.
and what do ya mean "xtians don't mention ALL the things needed to get to heaven"? we do too. the only thing needed to get into heaven is faith in jesus christ as your personal lord and savior.

Temptation isn't free though, otherwise we would have to choose to be tempted to do one thing and not the other.
Also, once Adam ate the apple, did God suddenly change the whole universe so only limited places could harbour life? Did he also suddenly make "an entertainment complex in the middle of a sewage system"? Did he also suddenly make it so the mouth was used for eating, breathing and drinking? We mus

Ummm, no. Sometimes I don't want to go to bed but I am tempted to because I am tired. I don't get a choice in whether I'm tempted to or not. Look into cognitive science, it explains everything in detail.
And no, you die because you either get killed, or from age because the telomere in your chromosomes gets too short. And yeah, the mouth was like that - imperfect.

Even if you have free will, you still have temptation. Adam and Eve were tempted, so there you go, they weren't perfect. And it's not the result of sin, it's genetics. Atleast genetics have been scientifically proven. "Stuff happens its the way the world works." You just said that everything was

For those that believe there is an intelligent designer, or that some god created man in his own image (as if a manlike god is floating in space before earth)... LOL! You don't have to be afraid of death, it's going to happen. You can't prevent it. Rest assured, when you die there is nothing,
so you won't know it anyway, just as before you were born.

No, his point is against the notion that our universe and planet were someone "created for our benefit" by an all loving God. He wants to show that this idea of "Intelligent Design" is just stupid.
