It's not good advice to tell kids to wait until marriage for sex. First of all, this is impractical, because most teens will have sex anyway. Secondly, marrying a person before you know them is really dumb.

There is proof from surveys that abstinence causes just as much if not more teen pregnancies than those teens who are taught about sex. Sex and relationships should be taught at a young age. Kids who are taught about sex and sexuality early on stay virgins longer. This idea of waiting till the wedding night is romantic, but not realistic and can only work in a miniscule amount of cases. It is a basic sexual urge, not a sin. Be safe yes, but don't tell children that abstinence is the answer
