I really don't know why some people insist on spamming "Hendrix/Slash/Vaughan/etc is better than X" as soon as a guitar appears in a video. Hendrix is definately not the best in the world (neither is anyone really), and even if he was, does that mean other guitarists have to stop playing? Pretty sure this video is called "Eric Clapton Unplugged Lonely Stranger", not "Clapton is better than Hendrix. Discuss"

Look people... It may be impossible to decide who is the best: Clapton, or Hendrix, Or SRV, Or B.B King, Or Santana, B. Guy, or Whoever, but we can all agree that all these guys and more created some great sounds and shouldn't be downgraded and picked over one another.

that is stupid. the artist writes for himself. hes not a monkey you give a nickel to so you can get your kicks. it might seem selfish but all players will agree pretty much that they play guitar to satisfy them self and their inner being. if you don't agree with me think of it like this. Eric Clapton did not write tears in heaven or circus left town for you or me. he wrote it do deal with what he was going through. same goes for all his songs. you are just lucky to get the chance to hearthesongs

Noone is better than anybody else, except maybe you, but rather just different. It's not a matter of how good they are but what they sound like in relation to what the people want to hear. accually codylubrano, no is better than anyone else. It is all about what the people want to hear.The croed is right 100% of the time. You need to follow the crowd and do what they want because it keeps their satisfaction with you up and they contribute to your earning. If you dont listen to the crowd then they wont listen to you, then ultimately you will lose your popularity and money.
