Agreed, although the music you speak of still exists today most of it won't see the light of day. MTV has bled out the true artistry of music in the main-stream and formed a generic sound for every genre of music. Imagine where music would be if the momentem of the 90's carried through to present day.

that's so true, blackdragon and wisetrashman. It all went wrong when record labels decided making quick profits was better than finding talent and allowing it to develop.

I picked up on living colour back when "vivid" came out. Before they toured with the rolling stones."Times up" was always a great cd to listen to on the sony walkman.The song "nothingness" however has had a way to permiate my soul. I've had this song in my head for days at times.Not many songs have EVER done this.
