Although you have a great point. That will never happen. This is a business and it has SADLY become a lifestyle for many blacks. The entire miseducation of the black woman is not something entirely of their OWN making, took a while to get there, and it will take A WHILE TO STOP. Many women and their children are caught in the cycle of fake hair. *They introduce perms very young *The perms damage their REAL HAIR *They are STUCK WEARING fake hair, thinking it will make their hair grow x3

This documentary needs to be geared toward multi-racial, Latinas, and Polynesians as well since they too are hair-conscious like this. Maybe not to some extent shown here but necessity to use product due to curls, waves, frizz, and ethnic texture. It's not just Black/White thing but it's more prevalent than you can imagine. That is why Ethnic hair boxes are written in FRench, Portugues, and Spanish.

I am of Asian descent and I do not like this exploitation. I have to use conditioners and have natural wavy hair and a child with hair like mine and we stick to products like Clairol, L'Oreal, V-05, Salon Selectives,Paul Mitchell,etc. They are "White" products but I'd rather give money to companies that are not involved in exploitation and at least these companies are Multi-ethnic.

What's up with all the "thumbs down" on the natural comments. LOL! It's true though. If we kept our hair the way the good Lord intended there would be no need for this video or this conversation. Hell, I say wash your hair in the river and condition with olive or coconut oil but that's just me LOL! Besides, I have NEVER seen a black owned BSS. Even when I would go out of town! So because your white friends look at you funny because you're wearing your God given NATURAL hair, you gotta conform to their standards and get a relaxer or a weave?
