I should have said expression. Your haircut can be a EXPRESSION which is a type of perceived behavior. No I am not "rocking some fuckin comb over". Tattoos are an EXPRESSION just like someone in a business suit. You are conveying a certain IMAGE to other people. It has nothing do to with who you are on the inside. It is about what you convey on the outside to other people. And you will be judged on that. Weather you like it or not.

Don't be so sure. Because you are only thinking in terms of American culture. If you think tattoos are generally seen as negative in American culture, well, the world is becoming more globalized. And on a broad international level, when it comes to BUSINESS they are not acceptable.

Your into Politics Right???? so you probably have noticed the Downfall of our society right???? The Dollar is not worth as much, gas prices sky rocketing, shitty President etc. well do you think that discrimination is really helping our nation? It still hasnt gotten us any where...and we have been doing it for years "Give me your hungry your poor" this is not the land of the free...and think of this do you know how many people with tattoos and piercings get Good Jobs? Ok.Fine. But I think you are taking it a little too far. In terms of reasons for the downfall of the US "discrimination" is last on the list.We need to be specific about the TYPE of discrimination. Some forms of discrimination are illegal(and for very good reason)and some are not. Is the sign "no shoes, no shirt, no service" discrimination? What about Club bouncers refusing people who are not dressed up?Tattoos are an expression(behavior).Under law it is not illegal to discriminate against them.

I understand I am being a hypocrite in a certian sense on this one issue. But its very simple. If I run a corporate business (depending on the type of course); and especially on an international business level where I am dealing with people from all kinds of different country's - I cannot have an employee who looks like this. It is a totally unprofessional image. So I refuse to hire someone like this. In the most general way this "image" will cost me accounts/sales, and put me out of business.

Depends. Construction work? Sure. No problem. But in the corporate world? Perception is reality. How you present yourself and your image to clients is essential for success! Having body art and tattoos, your image, effects the end result of earning and retaining profitable clients. It's is a negative, rebellious image with a history behind it. In international business you deal with so many cultures/countries where tattoos are for criminals, low life's etc. It's reality. So I'm not hiring you.

Am I? Really! (LIBERTY) Def. Life without Goverment Intervention. So you tell me what is happening, when. Federal law tells an employer that they have to hire a certain percentage of people based on sex, race, and some other criteria as well. Even when that percent dosen't match the demographics in the area or match the type/image of the company. So you tell me whos LIBERTY is more important.

I think we all have to accept that if we modify our bodies so that we aren't the norm there is obviously going to be consequences. Just another part of life, people are ass holes, that is never going to change, no one is completely un-predujice.
