To be blunt with you, "climate change" alarmists count on people not investigating the science. I have. People that debate the bible typically haven't read it...and people that are convinced that man is creating global warming typically have done no research on their own. Sorry.

Can we seperate the issues of climate change and Al Gore? I`m not interested in Al Gore as a personality, the reality or otherwise of climate change is actually significant.

You talk about reasonable. It IS reasonable for nonscientist to trust UN report from IPCC saying the climate change is real and mostly man-made. To Say that its a government fantasy is to be a big wuss to face the facts. Wake up and face it! Al Gore is more man than all of you deniers.

Possible but unlikely. I am not a scientist but have studied a large portion of the information available that an intelligent lay person can understand. Mt. St. Helens cast more Co2 into the atmosphere than all human activity in history. The earth had climate cycles long before the car. When all is said and done, there is some common sense that rises to the surface.

Personal attacks are difficult and shouldn't occur in a debate in a civilized society. I can only consider them from what they imply. They usually indicate a person or group is losing the de-bate. In this case, they also indicate how political the entire Global Warming debate has be-come. Both underline the lack of or even contradictory nature of the evidence.
