I am working on losing weight and have already lost 15 pounds since I shot this video so stop telling me i need to lose weight, I already know that, and i am working on it, you cant just lose weight overnight.
I am not attacking ronnie coleman, I admire his sucess as a bodybuilder so don't take the last comment personal, I just believe his techinque with alternate bicep curls might hurt a beginner. Also yes I am alil overweight and chubby, I am aware of that, yes ronnie coleman is way bigger then me, a

ronnie also does partial reps on some exercises and half reps, but those type of reps are used by powerlifters to blast through plateaus, either there lock out, or either there middle point, everyone says he does half reps to put more emphasis on the chest, and not on the triceps and shoulders, but the point of a bench press is to work more then his chest, and works secondary muscles like triceps and shoulders. If he is onloy going to do half reps and focus on chest he may as well use machines

Machines only are meant to work one muscle the primary mover, so a chest press machine only works your chest really, you press forward and bam thats a chest workout, you don't even have to focus on the little secondary stabilizer muscles, so why doesn't ronnie just do that if he is only going to do half reps and only focus on chest, focus on the primary muscle, he may as well go back to machines that are meant to work the primary muscle group.

bench press is meant to hit primary and secondary thats what makes it a great and effective exercise, so if he only does half reps and focuses on his chest he is killing the purpose of trying to also build some of his secondary stabilizer muscles, and he only be in the gym longer to work the secondary the deltoids and triceps, and the guy swings dumbbells to curl, so he is working out his lower back or rather injuring it probably :( Honestly I think my form isn't that much worse then him :)

When Ronnie does a set of 5 to 6 reps its usually his last set for that exercise and the last 4 sets were in the range of 10-12. 1 exetremely heavyset is not the same as 10 exetremely heavysets like a powerlifter will do.

Also about the weigh he benches, he does it that way not only to isolate the chest but to keep injury free. Locking out kills your joints and he's 43 years old he wanted to stay injury free as long as he could.

hmmmm yeah you could be right, but still i think his form is shit though, I have tried his form and got noting out of it, no pump, no burn, but everyone has a different body type and responds to different types of training, for ronnie it seems to work so he can stick with it, he has no reason to even take my advice and go strict, I just think if beginners use his form and try to lift heavy weights like him they will get hurt :(

When you go that heavy when it comes to curls or back workouts theirs gonna be some swinging involved just b/c of the amount of weight that pulls you forward on each rep. This doesnt happen in a bench press b/c your laying on your back and pushing away from you.

people often mistake this thought, your not suppose to do half reps to avoid injury in the limbs, your just not suppose to fully straighten your joints being knees or elbows being a 180 degrees or a straight line, the lockout should be almost straight but slightly bent meaning 170-160 degrees, so your arms should look straight but slightly bent that is how you avoid injury on your joints while also getting almost complete range of motion in your lifts, thats what they taught me in my major ;)

well anyone with any knowledge about the sport knows hes on roids. Not just on roids but on a shit ton of roids. I dont see the purpose. People with bad form can seriously hurt themselves, most people just need to check there ego at the door when they hit the gym

exactly thank you, I don't hate ronnie, I'm glad for his success as a bodybuilder, but his form is going to get him hurt probably, and arnold was 6 2 250-225 and was on steriods, ronnie is 5 11 330-300 compare my form to ronnie coleman's he curls 75s in that video and 85's my form doesn't look far off his well at least i don't think so, yet I'm not shredded and I'm 100 pounds lighter, and I'm 5 7, I think he is on roids to be that ripped at that size just doesn't seem natural

Cheat Curls are a great exercise, Arnold strongly believed in them and had the arms to show for it. The trick is when doing cheat curls to not go to much over a weight you can do with strict form. When I do them I pick a weight thats 10-20lbs heavier than a weight I can get 5-8 reps with strict form.
Oh Jericho look up "Ronnie Coleman cost of redemption" on here should be the first video. Ronnie's Form is fine if you ask me.

do it on something that you cant move too much to isolate the bicep if ur not able drop wheigt juste a little ..in 3 week i went from 45 pounds to 68 pounds with a good form for 6 reps

Well the point of this video was cheating, not strict form, and I prob could drop my bicep slower but I wasn't focusing on that, and usually I stick to slow bicep curls, 1-2 seconds up and 4-6 seconds down, and it usually does the trick, also I would love to see that video of you curling68 pounds with good form :)

I think people were bashing me, since I jokingly teased ronnie coleman at the end, I have nothing against him personally I just think his bicep curls form is shit, but if it worked for him then thats cool for him ;) I usually use strict form on curls usually, pretty strict anyways, I just do cheat curls ever once and while for fun and just curious to see how much i can hit. I have more weightlifting videos on my weightlifternerd account.

ha well i think i found one that beats ronnie. saw a clip of dexter jackson doing some barbell curls. i dunno if he always does this or this wat his cheats but he was bent over, looked more like a underhand barbell row.. but like you said about ronnie; it works... somehow
