Hi Fatcaesar. It's great to read such enthusiastic comments. However, I'm afraid I'm no pioneer and the soundtrack isn't from 1927. The film was made back then but these sounds were all recorded within the last few years. Also I'm not too familiar with Powernoise, except maybe Tarmvred and NON, who are both supposedly Powernoise outfits. Either way, thanks for the compliments.

Ah well, I was refeering to fritz lang when i said he's a Pionjeer(spell) since this is actually before its time, Even so if you made it its still very good.
Oh well dunno how much powernoise tarmvred (swedish?) is but ive seen him live, But i can imagine that some of our early producers have gotten their inspiration from old movies and such. This was just awsome to experience.. Btw, gonna se the movie tonight i belive :)

Yes, I did this myself. The recordings were all made by me or with my involvement; many recycled for this purpose. Apart from two sounds buried in the mix. So I'm afraid there's no version of this film with my soundtrack. Thanks for the comment.

Ummm...Star wars was invented in 1970, alien vs. predator was released in 2004, and Metropolis was in 1927.You can not compare this three different movies for they all have their own qualities and were all made in different times. I am a fan of all three movies, but I think that metropolis has more of an artistic side and carries some sort of message.

For your information, the nazi party in Germany was created in the 1920, and it became a leading party in 1933, so this couldn't be made by a nazi because it was filmed in 1927, when the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (Nazi party) was still weak and it couldn't interfere with this movie.

actaully, fritz lang was ratted on by his wife (also his screenwriter) to the nazis because of his movies (because he didn't agree with them). he then moved to america to make films here. get your facts straight.

Just a quick comment and then you can all get back on with your communal bitch-fight/circle-jerk: They had no "sound quality" back then because this was originally a silent movie. The sound on this video is my own; from 2007. So I guess what you said is a sort of backhanded compliment but nevermind.....
