I wouldn't say TLC ... ( 1 week ago by WrestlingRoundtable)
I wouldn't say TLC was "genius." It was done real well, but all they did basically was combine different hardcore-style elements that ECW really had been doing years before. They just did it way better than ECW ever did, heh. That being said, I don't see why it needs to be a tradition. Cage matches aren't a "tradition" as in, "We do that gimmick match on the same show, same month, every year" That would take away from it, to me. And I wouldn't be surprised to see them all in the HOW either -E

Why do people think Jindrak
O'Haire was so much better than Palumbo
O'Haire? I dunno, I like both combinations, and naturally if I had to choose I'd choose the Jindrak incarnation, but I thought Palumbo
O'Haire were cool too -E, Wrestling Roundtable

You're shitting me, right? I can't name one good TAG TEAM match that Rated RKO had. LAX I could name plenty, up to and including their latest ROH match with the Briscoes -E, Wrestling Roundtable

Money Inc was a cool gimmick and maybe a decent tag team, but I don't exactly remember them having any classics. Probably the same for APA -E, Wrestling Roundtable

Actually, that's way too long - they should have lasted one match, because then the future would have arrived and they'd have already been irrelevant, right? -E, Wrestling Roundtable

I like Beer Money. They have decent/good matches
work as together as characters, imo. I dig the act -E, Wrestling Roundtable

I don't know if their Japanese stuff was better, but I just watched some of their stuff back recently from WWF 1996, and my god were they boring. How someone managed to make cobra clutch suplexes and new moves boring in WWF 1996 I don't know, but they did it. They were like the black holes of excitement -E, Wrestling Roundtable

Wow, that's a great alternative universe idea, BUT you lost me on WM7 being crappy, heh. The opener with The Rockers/Barbarian
Haku was good, The Warrior/Savage match
angle was GREAT, Mr. Perfect/Bossman was a good segment, the celebrities stuff was hilarious, LOD squashing Power
Glory was hilarious, Smash
Crush Vs. Tenryu
Kitao was cool, Hart Foundation/Nastys was a good segment too, I even enjoyed Bulldog/Warlord! And Hogan defeating the forces of evil was just fun :) -E

Loved by the fans? ... ( 1 week ago by WrestlingRoundtable)
Loved by the fans? I don't know ANYbody who EVER brings up that tag team(present company aside, of course). And why should they? They lasted, what, 2 months? I think people loved each guy individually, so seeing them two a few times was cute
fun, but that's about it. And you said it yourself, "fun to watch do promos" Right, so what matches do we have to justify them being a good tag team? 1? 2? -E, Wrestling Roundtable
totally i think it ... ( 1 week ago by johntrew)
totally i think it was during a period when the only tag teams that ppl cared about were dudleys hardys and e
c. taker and kane were basically singles guys thrown together so there was never enough story or fueds for them to last very long
Well actually, post ... ( 1 week ago by WrestlingRoundtable)
Well actually, post-98 SummerSlam was when they started teaming the 1sst time. They ran through a few tag teams(like LOD 2000 on Heat)
main event of Breakdown(Vs. Austin). They had chemistry, but soon enough they were feuding again. October 98, to be exact. Then, in 2001 during the InVasion, they teamed again, but the matches were all shit(Vs. DDP
Kayon at SummerSlam 01, Vs. Kronik at Unforgiven 01). I think they could have lasted a while as a team, but that's the booking for ya, heh -E

yea, totally i mean they tended to squash ppl obv, but they needed a good team to fued with to keep watching them as a team fresh, but its always gonna end with kane turning heel. nevrmind

I dunno, they were pretty woeful. Generally speaking the worst teams I've seen have been in the past 5-10 years.

Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of theirs, but both have huge fan support, so not pushing them is just dumb. Thanks! -E, Wrestling Roundtable
How do you know ... ( 1 week ago by WrestlingRoundtable)
How do you know they'd still be teaming? You know that was only to feud with DX for a few months, so once that was done, they would've gone back to singles again. What Priceless
Orton teaming has to do with anything I have no idea, but I need to go get ready for them to team now. Bye! -E, Wrestling Roundtable
