I'll just ruin the surprise for you kids, Ozymandias (the guy with all the TV screens behind him) stages and alien invasion and kills half of New York in an effort to unite the world against a common enemy to prevent WWIII, Dr. Manhattan (the blue guy) subsequently agrees with him and kills Rorschach (the blotchy face guy) to prevent him from revealing their dirty little secret. Ta-da, now you can tell people how it ends!

I can't wait for this movie! I just started reading the novel this morning. It seems like a very well layered and complex story. Its sounds like Rorshach has a normal voice in this trailer but in chapter 1 Jupiter describes his voice as monotone. Wonder why they did that?

Yeah I saw his mask as sort of a symbol for how he viewed the world... with black and white shapes constantly moving but never mixing. Just like how Rorschach sees everything in black and white. There is good and there is evil and evil must be punished. No matter what shape evil (the black ink) takes... he still sees it as evil (Veidt's plan)...

Why is Blake (the Comedian) so upset about Veidt's success? I dont think it was Veidt's vain idea (the perfect fighting man seeing an end to fighting), but the only thing I can imagine is that he is basically pacifying all nations under him, becoming somewhat of an anti christ (destroying with peace). I dunno. Anyone have any ideas on why Blake was SO distraught?

I disagree. He deeply cares for humanity and the world; he just immersed himself in every aspect of it, from the hardness of rape and killing to the softness of loving Sally and Laurie (estrangedly). Perhaps he saw what he had represented, the savageness of man (when he was in Moloch's place he kept saying 'mother forgive me') as compared to Veidt's monstrous peace. He might have seen the end to the old human way of life, and frightened of what mankind would become without its primal rudder.
