2 are really master pieces. Hopefully Ron Gilbert will make the REAL Monkey 3 some day.

oh man c'mon hoe can you say 'rubbish'. it's pure monkey island style. yep, ron gilbert quitted, but so what? ahern and schafer did a perfect work. this ending is TOO short, however.

This ending - in fact the whole ending sequence to this game - was such an anticlimax. Way too rushed and shallow. We didn't see Guybrush saving Elaine (or vice versa), or the escape from the island, or the wedding - no kind of resolve. We're just supposed to take their word on it. SHOW, not tell should be imprinted upon the heart of all in the business of storytelling, visual or not.

Yeah, I think "rushed" best describes the endgame and ending, since the first 4 parts of the game is superb, with "Ron Gilbert style" puzzles and humor, clearly showing that the designers are capable of top-level game design, but the whole carnival section and the final roller coaster sequence seems abbreviated. It's as if they made the initial "base" of those parts which they would have expanded on, but then saw the impending deadline to complete the game and just cut it short.

The Curse is the best video game ever, yes, even better than the first two, even though there was no Gilbert, Monkey 4 was probably sub-par, but still an excellent game.

Guybrush should've at least kissed Elaine instaed of just a hug. They never actually kiss in the entire series; I always found that a bit odd. Great game through. I liked the ending, but it could've been better as every one else said.

I don't think this is better than the first two games, but I agree that this has the best draw style of the 4 games, even better than 3D. I hope if someday we have a Monkey 5 it will be drawn like cartoon, like this one.

and why the rails of the rollercoaster are on an eternal loop? and how did guybrush rescue elaine if the carnival was destroyed? the guys of lucasarts cut some very important scenes at the end of the game because of they didn't fit on two CDs, so there's a lack of information at the chapters 5 and 6
