Didn't Depeche Mode, R.E.M., Bauhaus, and about 1,000,000 other bands do the "Artsy Fartsy college boys" thing already? Oooh, it's soo minimalistic, yet full of meaning, chock full of vapid undertones written while stoned in someone's basement. Also sounds alot like Beck. Be original! |

| How right you are! If it makes nod your head or tap your foot to the beat, if it makes you wanna dance, or sing out aloud... what difference does it make whether it's orignal or not...? I say thank goodness there are people who emulate the masters of the blues, jazz, rock, or whatever... it keeps the good stuff alive, and makes it available to new generations to enjoy and build upon. |

I also disagree with the unoriginal point, they have very obvious influences but at the same time they still have their unique sound. | I see you're a death cab for cutie fan, they happen to be my favorite band, ben gibbard is my idol as a lyricist in the postal service and the death cab alike and chris walla seems to match up the emotion of the lyrics with the music almost perfectly so i will give you some respect although i dislike your bashing of musicians creativity. I would also recommend portishead, MGMT, arcade fire, amber rubarth, ray lamontagne and Okkervil River |
