Go read the interview with Oscar Robertson by HoopsHype in 2005 bro. They asked him was Pistol Pete ahead of his time with passing and he tells them "No, we was doing it way before he was. A lot of blacks were. We eventually stopped because coaches got mad about us imitating the Globetrotters." Pete just brought it back and got away with it.....know ur facts man. I speak truth. Pistol however learned fundamental basketball skills at a very young age. His father's the one who taught him how to play basketball well. Letting him do fun drills to improve his play.

pete maravich's approach to basketball was that of a craftsman, he refined and mastered each skill, (passing, shooting, dribbling etc.) to argue if he came first or if black players were displaying these skills before him is pointless, like Elvis Presley with rock & roll he brought a different style of basketball to the masses, and for that the modern nba game is forever in his debt.

Pete you are sick nasty. Ball fake ball fake ball fake pass in a half a step. Someone said they added up his out side shots and if they would have had 3 pointers back then he would have averaged 50 points a game. He averaged 44 a game.
