I think this version would be better if he was playing a grand piano. The piano sounds like shit, and his voice is shit with the piano. The sound sounds better slower and with a lighter voice.

Sorry..this guys voice is way to whiney to be anywhere near as beautiful or haunting as Jeff Buckley's version. This sounds like a ripoff of John Cales 1991 cover version...except John Cales version is better. Rufus you suck!

I live in the SOUTH and the majority of us are down with it. The man lives in New York City--he's not going to get a lot of flack there, ESPECIALLY in Greenwich Villiage.
But I hate to argue for such a gorgeous song. A wild and beautiful spirit, indeed. :)
