I think that's so sad, and I think it shows that some people are so afraid of homosexuality that two guys being best friends becomes an immense problem and even a taboo. It makes me really depressed. This (and F&H) is a story of true friendship.

Okay, sorry for being so vague, I was referring to Disney's "The Fox and the Hound", another animated movie about friendship - though I personally find "Arashi no yoru ni" to present an impossible friendship in a much stronger way.
