Great song, but the evening is getting late and Bo misses quite a few of his lip sync cues, but still a great piece of history from one of the greatest rock performers of all time.

Appearing on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1955, Mr. Diddley was asked to play Tennessee Ernie Ford's "Sixteen Tons" Without telling Mr. Sullivan, he played "Bo Diddley" instead. Afterward, in an off-camera confrontation, Mr. Sullivan told him that he would never work in television again. Mr. Diddley did not play again on a network show for 10 years.

The Grandfather of Rock 'n Roll - RIP Bo. You and Chuck were before Elvis, and I hope your next-of-kin get the royalties you had to give up. You came off as a bitter old man, but doggone it, you were right. May you be recognized as the pioneer you were someday.

lol-- you're right. It was all lip synched and choreographed on that show. pretty weird. But it's even worse today, I think. At least then it was live (and you can see the mistakes)

the dancing is typical 1960s go-go style from americab teenager TV shows. And, by the way, was that THE DUCHESS, HIS GORGEOUS SISTER, in front, at the beginning. (hear about her in the Story of Bo Diddley by the group the Animals, from 1964, first album on UK Columbia).

Good point. I'd sure like to know if that really is Barbi Benton. It looks like her, and she lived near where this was filmed. She's be about 16 then, if that is her.
