No Lauren, I despise most Hollywood actors. He's a brilliant actor. I think he just takes the 'method' part a bit too far. I wonder if he's going to end up like Peter Sellers. A man lost in perminant character(s) with no personality of his own. I'm not rubbishing him, but talking in a characters accent constantly seems a bit eccentric. I reccomment the machinist if you haven't seen it by the way

i agree he is a really brilliant actor ...and he was even as a child (in earlier movies ) BUT most people just know him from well badman ..Have u seen "empire of the sun"..where Bale is ..well i think 12-14 years old. U should watch it if u haven't yet!!thats where i knew this guy is greate---and I also agree about his accent--rubish he has such cute accent when he tals in well...normal ;)

I saw 'Empire' when it first came out and loved it. I think Bale will go from strength to strength. I'm looking forward to see what he does in Terminator 4. It's great he mixes blockbusters and small films. I read that Oliver Stone asked him to play George W Bush in his new film, before Josh Brolin. Yes he's great but a bit 'heavy'. Thanks for replying. PS- I used to be an (fine)art student! hope you like it!
