The tricks they did back then were so much more creative (the Almost team nowadays is an exception to the rest of the skateboard scene) and they had so much more board control (360
° followed by a powerslide, wheelie, then a wallride, right after that a boardslide to 50/50...).

Word to that. Skating used to be about the complexity of the run as a whole. It wasn't so much about the height of the trick or the location. It was about making it look good, ya know?

For real. This is right before the onslaught of the new shape. At the end of '91, the new shape was coming like an avalanche, gaining popularity like crazy n shit. I remember the transition came outta nowhere. Next thing I knew, wheels were tiny as f**k and decks looked like popsicles.

OMG someone finally put this up thank you!!!!!! I love this vid watched it everyday. Matt Hensley was a god to me back then.I think I was in 11th grade. Ollie over a picknick table to nose manual(not his best feat by any means but still insane).Oh and it introduced me to OP Ivy!!!
