I'm a professional steel player too and I listen to this song at least every Sunday night, after my weekend gig is over. I often think about this song while I'm playing for my audience and just wish I could impart the kind of feeling John Hughey did in all of his gigs and recordings. As for Dawn Sears singing, the hairs stand up on my back as she sings the last verse and she makes me cry sometimes, as this song reminds me of my ex-wife. And that is what Country Music is really all about.

Thanks to an invitation from wonderful friend, me and my wife had the opportunity to see the Time Jumpers at Station Inn when visiting Nashville a couple of years back. They were amazing and this recording is a wonderful testiment to that. I'll see them whenever I get back to TN.

As a Canadian who travels to Nashville frequently to get his COUNTRY music fix, I have never been to the Station Inn. Rest assured it will be on the agenda next trip. A few months ago I caught an "Opry Live" performance with Dawn Sears singin' backup for Vince Gill[my favorite] & later the Time Jumpers doin' this tune. I became an instant fan & after some investigation was able to procure their DVD - a magnificent 2 hr. show from the Station Inn. Dawn Sears has my total admiration - none better.

In my opinion Dawn Sears does one of the greatest-Reach Out And touch Your Heart-Vocals in her performace of this classic song. It warms my heart to know that this lady knows how to sing from her heart, you can see it through her expressions and it was a inspiration to me to be able to listen to her performance. And Country music radio wants to play pop like Taylor Swift and people who can't sing, just look sexy.....were do the genuine country folks go? -I go to the Time Jumpers~! Theres more talent on that stage then all of the so called country music on the radio...I am 21 and I only listen to 650am and these guys. I play fiddle in nashville and I am so ashamed to play with some of these acts down here. So terriable.... But at Least I played for Chesnutt for a while and he is genuine too.

These musicians are what country music is all about. I was raised on this music and have since learned to play guitar and play in a rockin' blues band. Today's country is more like what rock music was 20 to 30 years ago. This music is COUNTRY and what it was and is all about. Thankyou Time Jumpers for the Sweet memories!

This is the Nashville so many people miss, and what a shame. What passes for Country Music on 99% of commercial "country" stations is bad 70's rock with phony southern accents and tight jeans, and songs about nothing. The Time Jumpers, all seasoned veterans, are carrying on the tradition of the Real Stuff, and not in the approach of Nostalgia, but in practicing an art that is no different from a painter learning to paint in the style of the Old Masters, reverently, expertly, with love and skill.
