Energy is everywhere around you. It's just that some forms of energy can not be harvested. And can you define extraction of energy from vacuum more specifically, since most of our spacecrafts are getting energy from sun (electromagnetic energy) and precisely in vacuum, but I wouldn't call that a free energy. For spins, you could ask different question. Where does the energy for the revolution of the Earth around the Sun comes from? Well, it was always there, more or less.

Jesus christ you guys are fucking stupid. All he's done is store power from the grid in a flywheel and then it has to be converted back into electricity, inefficient!!!
