idiot asswhole.... dude the french army in numbers might be small, but damn it they have the best tanks in the world, the best rifle (FAMAS) in the world, the best planes in the world, and one of the best professional army in the world due to their training. The best training camp is in EQuator. Did you know that recently the Americans withdrew ALL of their marines from this camp b/c it was too hard for them? take a french soldier v american soldier, without the technology, and biiim no more US.

The FAMAS is considered "just a rifle" to one Army Marksmanship Unit armorer and one Marine whom I asked. ALL the french use are generation 4 fighters. The US is the ONLY nation to use generation 5 fighters (F22). French soldiers didn't tame Falluja, Ramadi, Baghdad, Kirkuk, Tikrit, Habbaniyah,
Al Assad, Sadr City, An Nasiriyah, Samaara, Mosul, Najaf, or Basrah, did they? AMERICANS, BRITISH, and POLISH TROOPS. not yours

I WILL say the French military TODAY is one of the most professional. The French are in Afghanistan but didnt lead the charge and clear the land like America did. One of my Marine friends said, "Falluja was the definition of urban warfare. Street to street, house to house, just like Hue city V
ietnam." Falluja, Ramadi, and Baghdad were sites of the worst fighting since Vietnam. Period.

you don't know what you are talking about.
it's true they may not have the best planes - but the rafale is one of the best. same with the FAMAS. The Leclerc, though, IS the best tank in the world, anybody will tell you that.

I'm an australian soldier so I speak with some authority on rifles, the FAMAS has a rate of fire of over 1000rpm, most other service rifles used currently 600-700rpm. The F-89 minimi, a Light Support Weapon has the same rate of fire and it is a machine gun. Amoung other things the French some of the most gucci kit out there. The Eurofighter is also hailed as the most advanced fighter in the skys

Well, I don't know between Rafale and Eurofighter which is the best. Unfortunately both of them have never been used in real combat. Anyway they already are overtaken by the american F22 and F35.

I'll tell you one thing, we might have lost the second world war when facing the germans, but thats when france learns from its mistake. their reputation might still be bad to the eyes of selfish americans,but its still one of the best out there. it might be small but its way more professional than the US army.

Besides, it could grow really fast in case of war, parlement would just have to pass a law. Concerning tanks, we do have the best. After all, it was DeGaulle who had first thought of a battle offense using tanks. Since no one took him seriously, the German stole the idea. You might know it as 'Blietzkrieg'.

Heres how your full of crap griffy85b: the current US rifle M-16 and M4 are totally unreliable. THey jam any chance they can, explode in soldiers faces when small levels of dirt or water get in there, and fail to put down the enemy because of their caliber. US tanks are also inefficient. US tanks, such as the abrams, is one of the worst for fuel efficiency. Not only that, but they are also deemed to be one of the most inaccurate tanks on the market

But in anycase - it should never come down to what you have, only how you use it. We can say your planes, tanks and weapons are superior as much as we want to. As we've seen with recent events in Iraq and Afghanistan with US forces, it doesnt matter what "superior" equipment you give them, if they are too incompetent to use them, then no amount of superior weapons will be able to win the war for you

dude wen france was fiting mexico in 1883 i think it was french:63 infentry and 3 officers and meaco:800 cavalry and 1200 infentry after 2 officers died the last 6 and last officer charged bayonets and 3 left so lets c an american soldier of that time do that
