I can agree to a certain extent. I think it kind of depends where you are from though cuz the 215 has always been about getting a little hurt. I think hardcore is what you make it. Believe me CDC is not trying to look tough. They go out and dance for other bands and go just as hard. Members usually come back from tour with injuries. Im not sure what the hardcore message is by the way?

When I saw CDC in Holland, the singer actually danced while the other bands were playing. And he danced fucking hard. But, I believe some of their lyrics are meant to be funny. I mean, no one likes to have their jaw broken. ;) Hardcore should be about helping each other out and having a way to get agressive in a positive way.

there are plenty of messages that bands get out not just one single one. It may be something political, on the Vegan or Straight Edge fronts, brotherhood, unity, female equality in the scene, so many productive things. Punk and Hardcore were formed by those that were outcasts, who were either forced or chose to not be a part of the norm. Jocks beating the shit out of each other senselessly is not only counter-productive but it's plain wrong. Getting rough at shows is one thing. crowd war though?
