the most modern chinese tank the type 99 has the same chassis as the tanks iraq had, except with minor upgrades. while ill agree the tanks sold to the mid east are indeed weaker watered down soviet tanks, the real thing wasnt all that great to begin with. if they were, they wouldnt need to use sub par auto loaders that rip gunners arms off to save space in a tank to cut costs.

The problem is, the russians don't eaven have to penetrate the M1, the just have to shoot at it. The crew has to go out and fix it, and then they get uranium poisoning. Actually, the american soldiers are under equiped really. Their armour is sub par to eaven the Chinease, their weapons are out dated and under powered(though, to be fair, their new guns are looknig spectacular. The HK and the Barret are nice guns) and their vehicles are made by the lowest bidder posible, making them just barely scrape by the standards.

Americans spend money on tanks and on planes, along with bombs. Most of the budget goes towards gas to fuel them (each abrams is constantly folowed by a fuel truck to keep it running) or ammo (those 2 billion dollar missles that are super inaccurate). Just because something costs 15 billion dollars doesn't mean it's good, many of your technology suffers from massive errors, like miss labeling your aircrafts as enemy's and shooting them down.

The computers use technology similar to Google earth for geographical locations. There is a consistency error of around 30 feet, so just there thats a 60 foot circle of error. The missles miss by up to 70 feet, so that makes the circle increase to a 200 foot diameter. That is alot. And BTW, The congo has the most vehicles per soldier; 4,500 soldiers(as of 2004) and 2,560 vehicles(as of 2003). Thats under 2 people per vehicle.

I wonder how a fully kitted out T-90 or even the M1 Abrams can stand up in combat against the many attack helicopters with 10km range AT-missiles. I hear the Apache was very effective against Iraqi front line tanks though they were fighting from a generation behind. But I don't see how the contemporary T-80 could have fared much better.

A good shot at the rear of a T-90 will knock out it's engine. In turn it will turn it's turret and shoot at the Abrams, then abrams will fire at the base of the T-90 barrel and knock out it's gun. Rendering it efectivly defenceless. Then it will deal with the NSV MG on the turret of the T-90. And If that isn't enough the US troops will force open the hatch and either capture the russian crew or throw in a grenade and watch the firework display....
