It's technically not against the law, but the terms and conditions you agree to by buying a ticket might prohibit you from recording sound and/or video, and if you're caught you could get thrown out.
Most organizers don't bother if you're only catching clips on your cellphone or whatever, but don't try to bring any serious recording gear.. :)
