Your best bet is just to go to school (if you grad in 4 years with a BA or BS and the world ends in 5 you don't have to repay the debt!) and get a job in a field you find interesting. Leave the fantasy to fiction writers, or just become one yourself! Who knows where your talents lie? Saving the
world though, not really your forte I don't think.

The technology may be possible, but the mass conspiracy... possible though highly improbable. You make a valid point.
There is yet to be proved the very existence of the illuminati/bildeburg/etc. Once that step is complete, then I'd be more apt to explore the more complex things like research stations being doomsday devices.

Ehm... sorry, but The Bilderberg Group do exist! They've even had a meeting in my neighbouring town. I thought by this point people started to notice them. Even the media has admited their existence. I'll be happy to provide links if you like. But take my word for it. They're real. The top of the class of royality, military, political, cultural, science etc etc elite meeting behind closed door. Anecdotal evidence ("I once new a guy, I met a guy, etc.") is not proof. I also have to say that if there is one group of people who consistently get things wrong, it would be 'the media'.
Because a bunch of rich, powerful people like to hang out together does not constitude a secret society. Proof would be something like papers validated by a credible 3rd party, video of something substantial verified as untampered... You know, proof.

Sorry 170kW. But even for 170MW there won't be enough power to do something like frying chinese or do earthquake. For example energy from sun which comes down to earth is 1.4kW/m^2. Well 100000m^2 has the power of HAARP. that is square 300x300m^2. And earth current are SO HUGE that some haart can't affact them.

HAARP uses 1 billion watts. There is a video on youtube from one of the workers on HAAP(when it was using only 30watts) where the man states that at 30 watts of power, they had a 100% accuracy to find oil. They would send out vibrations to areas underground and according to the frequency response they got back, they knew what was what. He said, at 1 billion watts...they can cause it to shake to cause Earth quakes. They admit this. Dont give me that bullshit. They are very capable.

In the presence of aurora and a strong blanketing E layer, HAARP was modulated at intervals of several seconds. For several cycles, small bright airglow spots were observed whenever HAARP was on. These spots are elongated horizontally, indicating drift motion, and are the same order of brightness as the aurora. Such bright artificial airglow was never recorded previously.
