It's amazing how fast technology advances. Only a year ago the nvidia 8 series were the top notch cards. Today, there's the 9 series and the new GTX series. Incredible.

Can somebody tell me, how come there are 8600 GT cards that say 512mb and some that say 256mb, does the GT card come in either memory size or have these been possibly listed wrong?

Usually the 256mb have gddr3 and the 512mb come with ddr2. this isnt always the case though

u can find a 8600gt/gts with 512mb gddr3 memory. Get that card in this case then cause i have ddr2 512mb of 8600gt and its good but u can see the slower memory speed does cause problems
