In December, 2006, the gaming web site Planet Half-Life announced it would be holding a competitive film festival. Videos, animations and machinima that had anything to do at all with the Half-Life franchise were acceptable, and prizes included limited edition Counter-Strike keysets and Zboards. This is the result. (Part 7 of a 7 part video series.)

If your friend doesn't make films and he didn't make a submission, then what gives your pal the right to say the film was uncreative? If he's so f**king creative why the hell didn't he just make a submission himself? I'm sure that his would have been a lot better! This by far is the best of all the submissions and if your friend can't see that then he has no taste and is just plain stupid.

In response to everyone who's asked (and I'm sure will ask) what this winning film had to do with Half-Life, I'll explain. The rules of the festival were that the entries could deal with not only Half-Life, but any Half-Life related games such as Counter-Strike, Team Fortress, Day of Defeat, etc. This film was based on the popular PC Gamer-sponsored mod They Hunger, a horror trilogy about zombies. The rules were clear, this was the best entry out of all we received, and they won, simple as that.
