But a really well produced video would get more air time and would generate a lot more revenue than it took to produce the video. Then more could be donated to these causes.

You know, I would accept the logic of what you say but I would question the heart behind it. It smacks to me of cruelty and selfishness. Seems to me like the attitude of those who are only willing to help when they see prominent rib cages and death in the eyes. Maybe you have too much son. Maybe you should get a cardboard box and sleep out for a week or two...then try to get a home a job and a life out of it? Whadyasay?

I'm alive because my parents took care of me until I could take care of myself. I survive in the world because I have determination and the will to live. I don't fight for life on a daily basis but if I did it wouldn't be with God's help. Have my home because I work for it, have clean water to drink because of Costco and have ordinary food to eat because of restaurants and supermarkets. Still have nothing to thank God for.

I cant stand when people make comments like yours. So she should donate every penny she has? She is doing something, what have you done to help? ... besides posting a negative comment on you tube. Maybe she inspired someone to do something small, or maybe she inspired a thousand people to do a thousand small things. And im sure it was a constant struggle to become famous, but now still has the humility and compassion to try to help people.. I dont see too many other musicians doing the same

like many others, i try to donate to a couple of charities each year, since you asked...it's just funny how easy it is for a celebrity to go on camera, cry a little on behalf of poor people to get people to donate, and walk away looking like a hero when it took almost no effort on their part...

Charity does not begin and end with Christians. People from non-christian religions and atheists also donate to charities. I suspect that church-going Christians may donate a little more because they are shamed by fellow church-goers if they are not seen to be acting charitably. This is a response to social pressure and not necessarily a sign of innate goodness. If church-goers give because of social pressure, then this video might help.
