Video Description:
In this edition, a splice of Brazil's two great music classics, "Aquarela do Brasil" (sung by Aloysio Oliveira --leader of the Miranda's Boys band- and Carmen Miranda) and "Tico Tico no Fub
á" instrumental. The superb Disney's production, "Saludos, Amigos!", 1942, gives life to Donald Duck and Joe Carioca as they meet and enjoy the Brazilian samba in Rio. Carmen appears in a routine from "The Gang's All Here", 1943.

Thank you for this fabulous find. It gave me chills to see and hear the beautifully talented star, Carmen Miranda, singing the wonderful song, Brazil. It's a classic and I think I will sing it too (in English)! Bravo.

Todos parecem esquecer que o filme foi produzido na d
écada de 1940. O Brasil era MUITO, MUITO pouco mesmo conhecido no resto do mundo. Carmen Miranda levou a música e a cultura brasileira para fora e despertou o interesse de uma América inteira. Graças a Carmen e Disney, nossas coisas daquele tempo ficaram imortalizadas e em português! Que outro
personagem de Disney da época leva nome que não seja americano? Faltaram Joe Baiano, Joe Gaucho, Joe Mineiro, etc. Sinto muito orgulho pela homenagem!
