ok....rhcp is soo original its insane...look at there bass player for example..unlike most bassests he dosnt stick to 3 notes. and look him up live,his bass slap is amazing.and john and chad and anthony r just as kool, try to find an other band that sounds the same...its impossible.

i don't think they copied sweet leaf. I know it is basically the same sound, but if you play guitar you know the main riff and the ending chords match notes wise i mean. i highly doubt John copied Black sabbath, it just happened to match.

How do you know he meant to do it on purpose? John does not seem like the type to copy parts of songs, especially from a huge band like black sabbath. Unless you have proof, i think it was just a coincidence, because the main riff's notes played as a chord happen to match sweet leaf.

I've already seen that video. And he was saying the intro was a rip off by some david bowie song, but if you listen to the bowie song it sounds almost nothing like UTB intro. Also the only other rip off part was off the song rip off, and it was just one chord from t-rex, and he changed the octave anyway. My point was John wouldn't copy something so popular and "mainstream" as black sabbath.
