D2 Director (pronounced "D--squared") is a single rack--mountable console featuring one oversized LCD display coupled with a revolutionary user interface. The new plug and play design allows users to easily search for music on any USB mass storage device and add songs to a single master playlist. Using this playlist, songs are automatically directed to two built--in play control surfaces, ultimately simplifying the DJ performance experience.

i want it just for the Numark branded storage key and keyboard :P
But the selling feature for me is the back-cue/scratch. this guy calls it scrubbing?? this is how all vinyl DJs are used to finding songs points. why aren't the digital gear manufacturers recognizing this at all. they talked about scratching / scrubbing for 15 seconds. most of the rest is just obv
ious details.. guess i'll have to go watch how real DJs are using the gear... something that kinda should be on this demo...

i have a d2 it is an incredible machine . i can plug my cell phone and play the songs on em even my mp3 ringtones .. great machine .. numark is rising up again i just wish it had a color screen and a illuminated keyboard

This is on clearance at Prosound And Stage Lighting for $299.00 with keynoard. Anyone have any idea why this is on clearance. Are There many problem with these? Just don't wanna buy this to find out somehting better comes out the week after, this always happens to me. Thanks
