Enthusiastic men and women from all over gather in Philadelphia to experience the heartfelt and intense lyrical competition called The Art of War. The Art of War Lyricist Challenge is one of the most groundbreaking events in hip hop history.
The brainchild of artist Jalima Shani, this event showcases two spoken urban poetry forms in an entirety new light. Jalima has dubbed the contest an all out extreme lyrical fest where slam poetry meets eight mile and invites you to come out to experience her social experiment for yourself.
