I don't know why car reviews won't acknowledge that. I have a 2004 GTO which everyone knows is a Monaro CV8 even sharing the rear bumper with the VY. I'd much rather have is actually be the Monaro just left hand drive. I'm just glad we have the car in some form.

The thing that killed the (new) dodge charger from the start, along with many other cars, is that the designers decided they want to please both the performance interested customers, as well as those who wanted a smooth luxury sedan. Which is retarded, because the result was a car that kind of sat in the middle and didn't excel either way. The really successful cars are ones made (like the mustang) where they decide to go for just performance, and anyone else can choke

Daimler owned the controlling percentage of Chrysler. Chrysler was/is an American car company, always has been, always will be. The key word in this is OWNED. They no longer "own" Chrysler. Point being, just because a company is owned by overseas investors, does not change the origins of the product. Ford owns Jaguar and Aston Martin...but go tell a Brit those are American cars.

Because the Holden company is older than Pontiac. Holden was building cars in Australia before GM started business here. We haven't had any car with a Pontiac, Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac or Oldsmobile badge on it sold in Australia since 1948. Why start now?
