| Speaking of lies, even now that the investigation has found Sarah Palin guilty of unlawfully abusing her authority, Palin insists it's all a conspiracy dreamed up by Obama's people to smear her name. This after "straight-talk" McCain sent TEAMS of lawyers to Alaska to derail, postpone or undermine the investigation. Nevermind the detail that the investigation was authorized by the Alaska Legislative Council (10 Republicans, 4 Democrats) BEFORE Palin was tapped as VP. Isn't honesty refreshing? |

Secondly I think it's wrong to assume that socialism and freedom can't coexist. Look beyond Cuba, China and Soviet. | The 70's was a crazy time in a lot of countries, Sweden included. I'm not sure about exact percentages but 87 seems a bit over the top. A normal Swedish worker pays about a third of his income in taxes. Sure we have one of the highest levels of taxes in the world but in return we get FREE universal health care that actually works, FREE college for everyone, paid parent leave (80% during the child's first 15 months), proper social welfare and a 100% literacy rate. It's worth it. |
