My question though ... ( 1 year ago by TheVizionary)
My question though is, everyone is saying that the economics of the industry are preventing artist like Little Brother and The Strange Fruit Project and Bassline Ent from gaining Mainstream airplay. However no one is talking about the relationship between the current content of the day, and decline in record sales. Perhaps part of the decline in record sales specifically in Hip-Hop is due to the fact that the content that is being promoted by these corporations is stale and old.
We have been stuck ... ( 1 year ago by TheVizionary)
We have been stuck with the same stories of Gunz Drugz and Bitches for the last ten years. We need artist that are fresh and different, Like Ohene. But most corps, are scared and will say we dont know if they will sell, but truth be told, the stuff they are pushing currently is sinking like the Titanic. Wake up

Man Bun I feel you that is totally true. I like the fact that I get to see Bun from a different light, he is so intellegent. People sometimes forget how creative and on point these artist are:
Say where are you ... ( 8 months ago by allworldcorleone)
Say where are you from UGK has been in the game since the early 90's. Bun B is one of the south's lyrical technichians. I dont know if you ever heard riding dirty but sit down and listen to that CD and you can get a feeling of what people were facing living in the inner city during that time.
Inserter im not ... ( 8 months ago by allworldcorleone)
Inserter im not advocating violence and negativity but at the time there was a story that need to be told about Texas and no one was putting our legacy what we were going through in our hoods out there. UGK is legendary to me because the were pioneers in the fact that they were the first to get Texas out there.

I find your remark ... ( 2 months ago by allworldcorleone)
I find your remark shallow and without subtance and knowledge of the artist. I have been a Bun B fan since the early ninty's and he has always conveyed his intellect throught his lyrical genius. Dont judge him off of his commercial music buy the album "jam" it and you will here the relevance.
